Why do we use VubaMac?

Why is VubaMac better than traditional bases such as Asphalt or Concrete?
- Super Strength: In controlled testing, VubaMac outperformed asphalt in every strength assessment. The results showed that VubaMac is 57% stronger than asphalt.
- Saves on commercial digging: VubaMac is suitable for nearly all surfaces, as long as the proper aggregates are in place beforehand – greatly reducing the need for excavation.
- Permeable and fully SuDs compliant: VubaMac systems incorporates Vuba’s SRM base layer, VubaMac Resin mixed with recycled aggregates, and is finished with the Vuba Stone Topping System, creating a fully permeable surface solution.

Why do we NOT use concrete as a base?
Polybound Home Improvements will never use concrete for the base when laying down a resin bound surface. This is mainly due to:
- Cracks – Which can start to appear in the resin shortly after being laid down.
- Not naturally permeable – Unlike the VubaMac system, concrete is not permeable therefore not allowing appropriate drainage.
We focus on installing high quality driveways, pathways and patios first and foremost, specialising particularly in resin bound surfaces due to their low-maintenance and sustainable drainage compliant nature.
